I thought for quite some time this factory engraved guitar pots likely said: D.P. but it turns out they must say J.P. This turns out stands for
Jung Poong
which is a South Korea company.

This first photo is from the control cavity of my (likely 1985) Arbor headless Licensed by Steinberger guitar. It’s a not quite that common D500K guitar potentiometer.

Up for sale is a lot of (4) JP Products branded A50k liner taper potentiometers that that is in new old stock condition and most likely from the ’90. These were obtained through SLM and used in Westone, Alvarez and Electra guitars

Steinberger guitars were made by cort in that time. In Cort guitars, JP pots were common around 1985.
