Got this beauty. Very strange acquisition tale on this one. I got an alert emailed to me and responded within 17 minutes I think it was to a phone number. I think I have a 1.5 hour drive out of state coming up and find out seller is in my state! And only about 4-5 towns aways. I stuff cash, myself and my lunch into my car and race down the road…

Turns out I realize almost immediately it’s not what was posted – A Gibson made in Bozeman MT. I Know right away. I also suspect it IS in fact an Epiphone MIK variant. But can’t be sure. All branding is gone. Seller doesn’t want me to take things apart – not even the truss rod cover (!)

Anyway, I get it for a crazy deal. And after getting it home and tightening up the totally slack truss rod the guitar suddenly has a nice straight neck and little buzz!

Although a little thinner neck than I prefer – it’s the Epi ‘Slim taper’ D neck, this guitar slowly becomes my #1 player at my regular place I reside at.
