Finally Re-Skinned seat!! Blue Carbon Fiber look!
This is a marine grade vinyl material that has a faux carbon look that I like. Real happy with this cosmetic upgrade since old seat was trashed. Pretty easy to do. Just need 1/4″ staples for staple gun and s t r e t c h

The guys at Dusty Cars hooked me up! We glued a little foam to the pitted areas – apparently the sun sort of melts exposed foam. Then skinned it all with 1/4″ foam to blend it all in better. Upholsterer started stretching and stapling middle saddle portion exactly where you sit. The low spot there in the seat. Stretch that width tight first. Worry about length wise stretching after. I got a square yard of the material which was about $15 range and have tons left over. You really need a half yard or less if you don’t need to cut two covers.

Really cool Frank Thomas armored textile jacket. Moto-ed to Moraga and got screaming deal on both – $45 cash!
Bungy corded jacket onto seat and helmet on arm, had gone there to buy a tank bag, but guy sold it out under me.

NorCal Morgan Territories yesterday! Gorgeous loop
A riddle for you. Two twins riding two twins and an E.
So anyway… three of us went on this 86 mile loop yesterday out of Oakland, CA. Mid 60s Degree F (15 + degrees C for you other lot). I was hot most of trip.
Perfect riding weather. My bike made the whole trip. Much smoother shifting just after oil change, and my low 2500-2400 rpm stumble uphill is pretty much gone!
Morgan Territories is like escaping to a whole other world out here…
We went the long way round Mt Diablo.

Start of trip more or less. Redwood / Pinehurst back roads thru the Redwoods out of Oakland towards Moraga

Windy single track road for 7 miles! Brilliant.
At regional park parking lot. Felt like I was in the wild west on a cool summer day.
Other bikes: brand new (250 miles) Harley 1200 sportster customized / murdered. The bike sounds very cool and rumbly. (Other) twin on a twin is a HondaMatic CB400A. Cafe racer mod-ed.
I’m from New England – NH – so I was seriously thinking of all the people in the north and east and the bad weather there. I am grateful to get in the warm ride here. Dream for spring and summer.

Oil change day w Tracey
First oil change for Green Magic. Drove up in am. Whole day there. Parts run for both our bikes. I change my mind and scramble to get Wix filter and the hell with the Fram I had. Finished both bikes though! C came up and made us all a great burger dinner

Bike finally back on the road after 5 months
Woot! Bike is running again (bad spark plug wires had me stumped for a long time), and finally solved my battery draining in 3 mile issue as well!

On a 20 mile loop yesterday. It was 60 + F here and sunny but we got a later start.
More trips and pics to come.

First time in a long time I’ve been actually been able to do this.
My bike races crazy on the revs about 6-7K in 2nd or 3rd gear. Ugh I hope it’s not…
(Still getting used to this bike).

I get Green Magic Running!!! Finally after 3 months of no start!
All it was – simply replaced crappy 8mm carbon core wires with brand new 7mm solid copper core spark plug wires that cost $3.01 and I walked to the store to get it!
It fired on first push button. Finally – Success!!!
My text at 4:08pm today: “HOLY F*%#ING SHIT!!!!”
My text the day before:
“I just found something astonishing. I hope this is THE problem. Not sure but gotta fix it first and see…”
mileage: 43,305
